Willard celebrated their 9th annual Pi Week with much creativity and dedication to the irrational number Pi. Students solved algebraic problems involving Pi, dedicated hours memorizing her digits, crafted poety, raps, and songs and much more to honor the constant. Students completing 7 of the 10 activities were rewarded with a free slice of Pie at the end of the week. Seventh grader Ross Lai set a new Willard record by memorizing pi to 250 digits! Pie week was organized by teachers Ryan Chinn and Jake Disston. Click for a Pi Week video filmed and edited by Robert MacCarthy 6th Grade Math/Science Teacher.
